As WritingSpirit is focused on helping you write, publish, promote, and leverage your book, for #FollowFriday I'm recommending one of my favorite tweeps in each of those categories. So, here goes:
@MarkDavidGerson Mark David Gerson
Mark David Gerson is a dear friend of mine that I met on twitter! He wrote one of my all time favorite books on writing The Voice of the Muse: Answering the Call to Write. It is imbued with Mark David's wisdom and warmth, grew out of his own writing experience (his novel The MoonQuest, and The Voice of the Muse have won many book awards), and his years as a creativity coach. His blog The Voice of Your Muse carries on this wonderful abundance of riches, as does his tweets on twitter. Follow Him!
@JaneFriedman Jane Friedman
Jane Friedman is the editorial director and publisher of the Writer's Digest community of products and services: Writer's Digest Books, Writer's Digest Magazine, and the Writer's Market series. As busy as all that keeps her, she still makes time to blog and tweet. Her Writer's Digest blog, There Are No Rules, is amazingly helpful and should be bookmarked by every writer. It includes a weeky Best Tweets for Writers post that hightlights tweets that are linked to great articles of interest to writers. Her tweets are just as helpful. Follow Her!
@BookGal Penny Sansevieri
Penny Sansevieri is the President and CEO of Author Marketing Experts, Inc., a book publicity firm specializing in customized book campaigns and internet marketing. Penny's written several books for writers including Getting Published, From Book to Bestseller, and Red Hot Internet Publicity: an Insider's Guide to Marketing Your Book on the Internet. Her twitter stream overflows daily with book marketing tips and links to articles that support a writer's online efforts. Follow Her!
@Barefoot_Exec Carrie Wilkerson
Carrie Wilkerson is the Barefoot Executive, and the founder of The Association of Work at Home Women. She is a leader in the use of Social Media (especially twitter) and has spoken at several of Mark Victor Hansen's Book University events on How to Promote Your Book Using Social Media. I've taken several of her classes and she is a font of useful information and a champion of take action, NOW! In this day and age, if you're determined to succeed in the publishing world, you need to be internet savvy. And no one will help you get savvy with more energy, enthusiasm, and charm than Carrie Wilkerson. She is an absolute delight, and you need to Follow Her!
